Lester Pearson

Lester Pearson was Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968 and the country’s foremost diplomat. His greatest domestic achievement was to establish a national program of universal publicly financed medical care for all Canadians. Internationally, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 when he served as Canada’s external affairs minister. Born in 1897, he died in 1972.
