Mahasamadhi

Mahasamadhi is a yogi's conscious decision to leave the body. This conscious decision to leave the body can be only attained by a yogi who has attained God Realisation

Mahasamadhi can also often refer to the shrine where a great yogi has been buried, usually close to where he entered his final state of mahasamadhi.

For example Sri Aurobindo and The Mother's Mahasamadhi shrine at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.
